Allgate News – Jose Calls It A Day

After 33 years in the garage door industry, Allgate’s Production Manager Jose has decided to call it a day and retire.
Jose started in the door industry in Sydney after arriving from Chile. He quickly adapted to making doors. With close to 3,000 doors being made personally by Jose, it is more than likely you have driven through a panel lift door that Jose has built.
Eight years ago Jose approached Allgate, concerned as the company he was with had had a change of management and had a different approach on the way Jose made his doors.
Allgate embraced the opportunity to have such a dedicated craftsman come on board and lead us into the manufacturing world of doors, keeping and improving on his quality.
Jose has brought new ideas and helped build a quality manufacturing side to Allgate.
Thanks to Jose we now manufacture springs, doors, gates and shutters, and have reduced waiting from weeks to days on most products, due to our in-house manufacturing process.
Jose is an old school craftsman, and our factory staff are lucky to have worked under Jose and learned his traditional craftsman skills.
Jose enjoys playing bowls and travelling the world.  He will have more time now to see his mighty Roosters play, and maybe even win a premiership now they have James Tedesco!
Long standing Allgate staff member Collin Cox will take over the position from Monday 31st July.  Collin has many years of experience working as a service tech and has spent the last 12 months learning Jose’s methods and skills.
We at Allgate wish Jose all the best for a long, happy and healthy retirement and hope he can fulfil all his dreams.
