Mark Winterbottom – #5 The Bottle-O PRA Ford:
Qualifying: 12th – 59.22s
Race 3: 13th
“Today was disappointing. We didn’t quite have the speed that we needed to keep up with the top five guys and then we were forced to stack at the pit stop behind Cam so that was pretty much our day done from there. The hit from behind didn’t help but you just have to get on with it. There are a few things to look at before Phillip Island but these tracks are very similar so we’ll see how we go.”
Cameron Waters – #6 Monster Energy PRA Ford:
Qualifying: 10th – 59.19s
Race 3: 6th
“It was a really good day. I started on the slicks and made good track position with that and from there it was all a matter of just seeing how our pace was from then on. The pace was pretty good, the car was alright too, it was setup for both the dry and the wet so it wasn’t perfect but I’m really happy to come home with sixth, some good points and it’s all kind of clicking now which is nice.”
Chaz Mostert – #55 Supercheap Auto PRA Ford:
Qualifying: 3rd – 58.70s
Race 3: 7th
“Yeah it was unfortunate to lose the lead of the race but we still bagged a decent amount of points and there’s a long way still to go this season. I don’t believe in bad luck, I believe in mistakes and I made a mistake today which sucks. We’ll take the positives. The car was awesome, we were running away from the guys behind us for most of the race which was really good. These things happen, we’ll turn it around and focus on Phillip Island.”
Jason Bright – #56 MEGA Bulk Fuels PRA Ford:
Qualifying: 17th – 59.60s
Race 3: DNF
“We took a bit of a gamble today but it was okay out there for slicks. It just snapped on the exit of turn six and it dropped me onto the grass and I was a passenger from there unfortunately. It was pretty disappointing. I wanted to see how the car was in the dry because I feel like we’ve made some good gains since Friday but we’ll see how we go at Phillip Island.”
Tim Edwards – Team Principal:
“It was great to bag a decent amount of points today. Both Chaz and Cam have stayed consistent in that regard, did a good job on track, stayed clean and held their position. Unfortunate for Chaz but he’ll learn from this for next time. There’s quite a bit to look at again after this weekend and I’m confident we can keep improving.”
Prodrive Racing (Australia)’s Garry Jacobson has managed a top five finish in the final day of racing at the Tasmania SuperSprint despite being turned mid-way through the race. With the weather clearing, Jacobson was able to continue his assault on the field and manage a strong result in race four. Josh Kean has finished 19th in yet another tough day, being spun as well as awarded a drive through penalty in the final race. Looking at the positives, Kean is pleased with the car’s pace which he believes can be improved again for Phillip Island.
Garry Jacobson – #1 McQuinn Electrical PRA Ford:
Race 4: 5th
“After race four I’m surprisingly in a good and positive mindset. The results during the weekend weren’t really where I think I should have been but the car speed was definitely fast whether it was dry or wet which is the main thing. I started p7, got up the field but then got taken out by Kostecki so went to the back and then got all of the way back up to fifth which was my best result of the weekend. A really great effort from everyone at Prodrive for giving me a top car.”
Josh Kean – #5 Wynns Racing PRA Ford:
Race 4: 19th
“Not the way we wanted to finish the weekend. The car was good which is pretty much all we can take from today. Unfortunate to end the weekend like this after running in the top five early in the race but our focus turns to Phillip Island now and putting together a consistent weekend.”
