Every model on the list below is a GDO followed by a number, then a v, then another number. People read the first number and stop. It is the second one that decides which radio is inside.
Work through it and the pattern is unmistakable. This handset covers the GDO-6v1 and GDO-6v2 and does not cover the GDO-6v3 or GDO-6v4. It covers the GDO-7v1 and not the GDO-7v2 or GDO-7v3. It covers the GDO-8v1 and GDO-8v2 and not the GDO-8v3. It covers the GDO-9v1 and not the GDO-9v2 or GDO-9v3. The name on the front of the opener does not move with the version either, so an EasyRoller can sit on either side of that line and so can a SecuraLift. Somebody who tells us they have a GDO-9 has given us a model that exists in three versions across two incompatible radio systems, and only one of the three is served by this remote.
In full, the published list is the CRX-1 and CRX-2 receivers, the GDO-2v5, GDO-2v6 and GDO-2v7 SecuraLift units, the GDO-4v3, GDO-4v4, GDO-4v5 and GDO-4v6 EasyRoller units, the GDO-6v1 and GDO-6v2, the GDO-7v1, the GDO-8v1 and GDO-8v2 EasyRoller II units and the GDO-9v1. A PTX5 is excluded and that exclusion has no exceptions.
Four openings on a rolling code at 433 MHz is the specification in full. The 23A 12V cell goes out already installed, its cover is screwed down rather than clipped shut, and a key ring travels with it.
