Before the list, one thing about the list. Allgate carries two handsets against the AOBD badge, this one and the Compatible Aftermarket B&D To Suit Auto Openers AOBD, and their published model lists are not the same length. Five entries appear on the other listing and not on this one: the 062266 and the 062506, the RDO-2V1SM, the GDO-4V3 EL Easylifter and the B&D BM4.
That is a difference between two publications rather than a proven difference between two radios, and it is written here as exactly that. What follows from it is simple enough. If the number off your motor or your old handset is one of those five, buy the listing that names it. Do not reason that the two are probably the same part and it will probably be fine. A published list is the only promise either page makes, and buying against a promise that was actually made is free.
What this listing does name, in the order the numbers tend to appear on the equipment itself, is 059116, 059120, 062162, the 059215 receiver, the 062170 as 433EBD, 4330EBD and 4333EBD, the 062200/4410EBD, the 062402/4400ECE and the HE60BD. Under names rather than numbers it reaches Controll-A-Door 4, 5, R, P and Shed Master, then FAM4, FAM5, FAM P, FAM R, FAM RDO, FIRMAMATIC RDO and FIRMAMATIC SDO, then EL4, EL5, EL R with the Easylifter, the RDO-2V1EL Econolift and the RDO-1V1 Diamond Power Drive.
Four things rule it out regardless of which name your opener wears. A handset marked 27 MHz belongs to an earlier system. A handset with seven to twelve small switches inside it is fixed code. A dark navy case is a different family. And the 062150 is a near twin of the shells pictured here and is not covered. There is also a condition on the Controll-A-Door 4: if the remote you use for it has two buttons with ridges running down the left one, that is the 062150 and your motor is out.
It holds four openings on a rolling code at 433 MHz. No case measurements are published for it, which is worth saying because several of the B&D handsets beside it do publish them and somebody comparing shells will notice the gap. The 23A 12V cell is seated at the factory, a driver opens the compartment, and a coding sheet plus a key ring make up the rest of the carton.
The AOBD badge belongs to a retailer rather than to a manufacturer. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by B&D.
The number to have in your hand when you ring 1300 736 683 is the one on the motor, not the one on the remote. Motor numbers appear on both AOBD listings and settle which one you want in about thirty seconds. Remote numbers frequently appear on neither, because the badge was put there by whoever sold the last replacement rather than by whoever built the opener.
