The number that decides whether this is the right handset for your property is not on the motor. It is three. This remote holds three openings where almost everything else in our range holds four, the supplier publishes it plainly, and it is the easiest specification on the page to read straight past.
Three is enough for most houses and not for all of them. A garage door, a driveway gate and a second garage fills it exactly. The coverage itself is wide. The roller door motors are the MR60, MR600, MR600A, MR650, MR800, MR800A, MR850 and MR1000. The sectional and tilt units are the MT60, MT60P, MT230, MT600, MT800, MT1000, MT5580 and MT5580P, with the MT3850 Whisper Drive, the MJ3800 and the MJ3800R. The gates are the MGL300, MGL400, MGS300, MGS500, MGS500T, MGS1000 and MGS1000T, plus the MGA600 XLR8 Wingmate 3. The ML500, ML700 and ML750 MotorLift units and the LM800AMT, MLR500, MLR750 and MLR850 Chamberlain openers are on it, as are the C945 handset and the CB22 control board.
EVO models are excluded, and so is anything with Merlin+ 2.0 printed on the front of the remote. It transmits at 433 MHz on a rolling code. A 23A 12V cell is supplied in the case, the compartment is held by a screw, and a key ring rides along with the handset.
This is a substitute part sold under a retailer's badge. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Merlin.
On the day it is coded, write down which button does what and tape the note inside the meter box. The buttons on these cases carry no markings, three of them is one more than anybody remembers reliably, and the person who needs to know is usually a house sitter or a tenant standing in the dark two years later.

This product is supplied with a 23A 12V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
