The thing that sets this remote apart from the rest of our Merlin range is the breadth of what it operates, and it is worth reading properly because almost nobody realises a garage door remote covers gate motors as well.
On roller doors it covers the MR60, MR600 and MR600A, the MR650, the MR800 and MR800A, the MR850 and the MR1000. On sectional and tilt openers it covers the MT60 and MT60P, the MT230, the MT600, the MT800, the MT1000, the MT5580 and MT5580P, and the MT3850 Whisper Drive. On sliding gates it covers the MGS300, the MGS500 and MGS500T, and the MGS1000 and MGS1000T. On swing gates it covers the MGL300 and MGL400 linear openers and the MGA600 XLR8 Wingmate 3. On the Chamberlain and MotorLift side it covers the LM800AMT, the ML500, ML700 and ML750, and the MLR500, MLR750 and MLR850. It also covers the MJ3800 and MJ3800R, the CB22 control board and the C945 remote itself.
So a property with a Merlin garage door and a Merlin sliding gate can very often run both from this one handset, which is not true of most of the range and is the single best reason to choose it.
Two things are ruled out and they are worth checking on the remote rather than the motor. EVO models are outside this listing. So is any remote with Merlin+2.0 written on the front. That second one is the common mistake, because a Merlin+ 2.0 handset looks like a plausible relative of a bear claw and is a different system.
Coding is rolling, so a fresh code goes out on every press and a captured signal is useless afterwards. It transmits on 433 MHz, runs up to three doors and measures about 3 cm by 6 cm by 1 cm. A CR2032 is supplied and fitted, and the compartment needs a tool. The supplier publishes third party testing against AS62368.1 for it.
The supplier asks for two confirmations before ordering, and on a list this long they are sensible. Your existing remote should be the one shown in the main image, and your motor should appear above.
This is a compatible handset. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Merlin.
