A CR2032 arrives fitted under a tool retained cover, with screws and instructions. The code rolls on each press.

Measure the old plate before you take it off the wall rather than afterwards. Width and length can be worked around with a wipe of filler and a touch of paint. Depth cannot, and a door that no longer opens fully is the one mistake here that is discovered after the holes are made.
