About the Grifco+ 2.0 E960G Genuine Remote

One line in its published specification sets it apart from every other Grifco listing we carry, and it deserves explaining rather than listing. As well as the drives, this handset is published against the STAR1000EVO receiver. Nothing else in our Grifco range names a receiver at all.

A receiver is the radio half of the system in a housing of its own. It wires into an opener or a control board and listens for handsets, and it is how a door or gate whose own receiver has failed, or which never carried compatible radio to begin with, is brought onto current remotes without replacing the motor. On a commercial or strata property that is often the difference between an afternoon of work and a capital item on a budget. A door that will not accept a current handset is not automatically a door needing a new opener, and the question is worth asking before anybody quotes for the larger job.

The second thing this listing publishes is that the handset codes to the Grifco+ generation and the Grifco+ 2.0 generation rather than to one of them. That is Grifco's own description rather than a claim of ours, and it is why this model turns up on properties where equipment has been added a piece at a time across fifteen years and no two openers are the same vintage. Where a site is mixed, ring 1300 655 600 and describe what is on each motor before ordering a batch of anything.

On the drives themselves it suits the E-Drive, the S-Drive, the LS-Drive and the LR-Drive in Grifco 2.0 form, and it codes together with the E943G and E945G handsets, so an existing set of remotes does not have to be cleared and redone in order to add one more. It reaches Merlin openers of the same generation too. It does not reach the Chamberlain badged CR and CS units, which is worth knowing on a property where more than one badge is in the car park.

Rolling code means a fresh code on every press, drawn from a pool of over one hundred billion, so nothing useful can be recorded and replayed later. The case measures 3.14 cm across, 7.35 cm long and 1.18 cm deep, which makes it the longest and slimmest of the Grifco handsets. A CR2032 sits under a cover that needs a tool, and third party testing against AS62368.1 is published for it.

If a receiver is going in as part of the work, standardise on this handset across the whole property rather than matching whatever each door already has. One model on every key ring means one set of coding instructions, one cell to keep spare, and one conversation rather than four the next time somebody asks why their remote stopped working.

Delivery, returns and fitting

Shipping costs and delivery times are shown beside the Add to cart button above. Unused parts can be returned by post within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, with return postage paid by you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that, so if the part you receive turns out not to suit your opener, call us before you program it and we will work out what does. Our full terms of sale are set out on the Allgate terms and conditions page.

Most customers fit and code a new part themselves in a few minutes using the instructions supplied. If you would rather have it done, an Allgate technician can program and test it on site anywhere we work, which is every suburb listed on the Sydney service areas page.

Not sure the Grifco+ 2.0 E960G Genuine Remote is the right part?

Buying the wrong remote is the most common mistake we see, and it is almost always avoidable with one photograph. Send a clear shot of the front and the back of your existing unit, plus one of the motor if you can reach it safely, to service@allgate.com.au and our team will tell you exactly which part suits your opener. If you would rather talk it through, our domestic line is 1300 736 683, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Commercial and strata customers can reach a technician on 1300 655 600 at any hour, on any day.

You can also search the catalogue by the model number printed on your existing handset, which is the fastest way to find the match yourself.
