About the Genuine Grifco Wall Button

Two channels means one plate operates two openers. A workshop with a roller door at each end, a warehouse with a door and a gate, or a house with a garage and a driveway entry can all be run from a single control point rather than two. It transmits rather than running back to the motor on a cable, so it mounts at whichever door people actually walk through instead of wherever an installer once ran the wiring.

The compatibility list is considerably wider than the Grifco name suggests, and this is the part worth reading. It takes in the Grifco 2.0 range in E-Drive, LR-Drive, LS-Drive and S-Drive form. It covers the Chamberlain CR625EVO HandyLift Plus 2.0, the CR655MYQ Rollerlift, the CS60EVO Powerlift and the CS100EVO Powerlift Plus. It covers the Commander range as MS65MYQ Essential, MS105MYQ Elite, MS125MYQ Extreme, MJ3800MYQ Ultimate and MT110MYQ myQ. It covers the Silentdrive and Quietdrive units MR650EVO, MR655EVO, MR655MYQ, MR850EVO, MR855EVO and MR855MYQ, along with the MR550EVO Weatherdrive, the MRC950EVO Overdrive, the MT100EVO Tiltmaster, the MT120EVOPS CyclonePro, the MT3850EVO Whisperdrive, the MT50EVO EntryLift and the MT60EVO Powerace. It also covers the Steel-Line ST50EVOB, ST50EVOB1 and ST50EVOC, and it codes alongside the E943, E943G, E945, E945G, E950M and E960G remotes.

Read that list again if your motor is not a Grifco. A Grifco badged wall button will run a Chamberlain, Commander, Silentdrive or Steel-Line motor of the same generation, so somebody shopping for a wall control on one of those openers should not scroll past this because of the brand on the box. On the four Chamberlain units that is a check Allgate has confirmed directly rather than a conclusion drawn from a table, and it is worth stating outright because the handhelds do not share it. Neither Grifco handset we supply will code to a Chamberlain CR or CS unit, and both of those listings say so plainly. This wall control will. So on a Chamberlain opener of this generation a wall plate is open to you where a Grifco pocket remote is not.

The coding is rolling, so a fresh code is produced on each press and a signal captured once is of no use afterwards. On a wall control that sits in a garage rather than in a pocket, that matters less for theft of the signal and more for the fact that it will never fall out of step with a receiver that has moved on.

It takes one CR2032, supplied and fitted, with a tool needed to lift the cover. Mounting hardware is in the box, so the only thing you are likely to need is a drill for masonry.

Two buttons is the ceiling here. If a site needs three or four openers driven from one position, say so before ordering, because the answer is a different unit rather than two plates mounted side by side.

Delivery, returns and fitting

Shipping costs and delivery times are shown beside the Add to cart button above. Unused parts can be returned by post within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, with return postage paid by you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that, so if the part you receive turns out not to suit your opener, call us before you program it and we will work out what does. Our full terms of sale are set out on the Allgate terms and conditions page.

Most customers fit and code a new part themselves in a few minutes using the instructions supplied. If you would rather have it done, an Allgate technician can program and test it on site anywhere we work, which is every suburb listed on the Sydney service areas page.

Not sure the Genuine Grifco Wall Button is the right part?

Buying the wrong remote is the most common mistake we see, and it is almost always avoidable with one photograph. Send a clear shot of the front and the back of your existing unit, plus one of the motor if you can reach it safely, to service@allgate.com.au and our team will tell you exactly which part suits your opener. If you would rather talk it through, our domestic line is 1300 736 683, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Commercial and strata customers can reach a technician on 1300 655 600 at any hour, on any day.

You can also search the catalogue by the model number printed on your existing handset, which is the fastest way to find the match yourself.
