About the Genuine Code Ezy Remote to suit Merlin+
Its compatibility list carries something the others in this range do not, and it rescues a customer who has already given up. Read down it and you will find the ML500, ML700 and ML750, which are MotorLift units, and the LM800AMT, MLR500, MLR750 and MLR850, which are Chamberlain openers. A person who climbs into the roof space, reads MotorLift or Chamberlain off the motor and concludes that no Merlin remote can possibly suit has stopped one step short. Those openers are on this list.
Take that as far as the list goes and no further. It is a statement about the models named on this listing, not a rule that every Chamberlain badged opener takes a Merlin handset, and there are Chamberlain units elsewhere in the market that take nothing of the sort. If your plate reads Chamberlain and the number is not one of the four above, ring 1300 736 683 and read it out rather than assuming either way.
The rest of the list is Merlin badged and it is long. The roller door motors are the MR60, MR600, MR600A, MR650, MR800, MR800A, MR850 and MR1000. The sectional and tilt motors are the MT60, MT60P, MT230, MT600, MT800, MT1000, MT5580 and MT5580P, with the MT3850 Whisper Drive beside them and the MJ3800 and MJ3800R alongside. The gate motors are the MGL300 and MGL400 linear swing units and the MGS300, MGS500, MGS500T, MGS1000 and MGS1000T sliders, with the MGA600 XLR8 Wingmate 3. The C945 handset and the CB22 control board complete it.
Two exclusions are published and both are read off the equipment rather than guessed. It does not suit an EVO model, and it does not suit anything with Merlin+ 2.0 printed on the front of the remote. Telling the two generations apart by the letters in a part code is set out on the Merlin+ C943 Genuine Visor Remote listing.
Three openings rather than four, on a rolling code at 433 MHz. Its 23A 12V cell ships seated in the case, the retaining screw has to come out to reach it, and a key ring is included.
No part of this remote comes from Merlin. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Merlin.
One practical note about the badge question. Where a house has a MotorLift or Chamberlain sticker on the motor and Merlin paperwork in a drawer, neither document is wrong. Equipment of this generation was sold under more than one name in Australia and the receiver inside does not care which one ended up on the plate. Quote the model code when you ring us and the badge stops mattering.

This product is supplied with a 23A 12V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
