Compatible Remote To Suit ATA TX Remotes (Long Range)
The Compatible Remote To Suit ATA TX Remotes is the long range aftermarket handset for the older 27.145 MHz ATA TX generation, built for properties where an ordinary replacement remote simply does not reach. It is the answer to a specific and common complaint: the remote works fine standing at the door and does nothing at all from where you actually want to press it.

About the Compatible Remote To Suit ATA TX Remotes (Long Range)
Range is the entire reason this model exists and the reason it costs more than a standard TX compatible remote. If your driveway runs a long way back from the street, if the opener sits behind a masonry wall or at the far end of a shed, if you are on acreage, or if you want the door moving before you have finished turning in, this is the unit built for that. If you only ever press the button from a few metres away, the standard compatible remote will do the same job for less.
Two checks tell you whether it will suit your opener. Your existing remote needs to match the unit shown in the product photograph, and the motor needs a bank of twelve small switches inside it. That row of switches is how this generation stores its code: the pattern set on the switches in the motor is the pattern set on the remote, and matching the two is the whole of the programming. Nothing is paired and nothing is learned.
The useful consequence is that the code is not locked inside a handset. It is readable from the board in the motor, so even a household that has lost every remote it owns can have a new one set up from the switch positions. That is not true of duplicator remotes, which need a working remote to copy from.
It is a single button unit controlling one door or one gate, with an LED on the front to confirm transmission, slim enough to carry in a pocket. A 9V battery is supplied and fitted before dispatch along with the coding instructions. A 9V is the rectangular block type rather than a flat coin cell, so it is a size you can pick up almost anywhere when it eventually goes flat. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children and take flat ones to a battery recycling point.
This is a compatible part rather than an ATA one. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Automatic Technology Australia, and we only use the word genuine for products that come from the brand itself.
Worth knowing before you buy: poor range is not always the remote. On a system this old the receiver and its aerial are the usual culprits, and a long range transmitter will improve matters without fixing them. If a new remote does not restore the reach you expect, an Allgate technician can test the receiver, check the aerial and quote a modern receiver and remote set if the old one has had its day. We would rather tell you that than sell you a third handset.
Allgate works right across the Sydney metropolitan area, including the outer western and south western suburbs and the semi rural blocks around Camden, Penrith and Campbelltown, where a long range transmitter is very often the thing that was actually needed.

Battery safety
This product is supplied with a 9V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
Delivery, returns and fitting
Shipping costs and delivery times are shown beside the Add to cart button above. Unused parts can be returned by post within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, with return postage paid by you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that, so if the part you receive turns out not to suit your opener, call us before you program it and we will work out what does. Our full terms of sale are set out on the Allgate terms and conditions page.
Most customers fit and code a new part themselves in a few minutes using the instructions supplied. If you would rather have it done, an Allgate technician can program and test it on site anywhere we work, which is every suburb listed on the Sydney service areas page.
Not sure the Compatible Remote To Suit ATA TX Remotes (Long Range) is the right part?
Buying the wrong remote is the most common mistake we see, and it is almost always avoidable with one photograph. Send a clear shot of the front and the back of your existing unit, plus one of the motor if you can reach it safely, to service@allgate.com.au and our team will tell you exactly which part suits your opener. If you would rather talk it through, our domestic line is 1300 736 683, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Commercial and strata customers can reach a technician on 1300 655 600 at any hour, on any day.
You can also search the catalogue by the model number printed on your existing handset, which is the fastest way to find the match yourself.
