Being sold under an Auto Openers number is the whole reason this listing exists separately. Somebody searching AO842 is not going to find their part under a Merlin model number, because the remote they are holding has never carried one. The underlying handset is the same generic unit we sell for the green Merlin range, and it codes to the same motors.
Those motors are the M230T Prolift, the M430R Prolift and the green M832, M842 and M844 remotes. Blue Merlin remotes, Merlin+ equipment, Merlin+ 2.0 equipment and anything predating July 2001 are all outside it.

Check two things before ordering. Your existing remote should be the one shown in the main product image, and your motor should be on the list above. On this range both checks matter, because several handsets from the period look close enough to pass a glance.
Four buttons run up to four separate doors. It transmits on 433.92 MHz, carries an LED and a slide protector over the buttons, and measures roughly 3 cm by 7 cm by 1.2 cm. The 27A 12V battery is cylindrical rather than a coin cell, comes fitted, and sits behind a cover that needs a tool.
Auto Openers is not Merlin and neither are we. This handset is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Merlin.

This product is supplied with a 27A 12V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
