Compatible Aftermarket ATA PTX5 To Suit Auto Openers AOTX5
This is the replacement for a handset badged AOTX5, and it differs from every other ATA PTX-5 compatible we stock in one respect that matters after the sale rather than before it: the battery.

About the Compatible Aftermarket ATA PTX5 To Suit Auto Openers AOTX5
Where the rest of this range runs a CR2032 coin cell, this one takes a 23A. A 23A is a small cylinder, roughly the size of a fuse, rather than a flat disc. Two practical consequences follow. It is not a coin cell, so this page carries a short battery notice rather than the full warning its siblings must display. And when it eventually goes flat you are looking for a different thing on the shelf, which is worth knowing now rather than in the supermarket in two years.
On identification, AOTX5 is an Auto Openers number rather than an ATA one. A remote badged this way carries no ATA model anywhere on it, which is why it needs its own listing. Its stablemate is the AOTX4, covered by our Compatible Aftermarket ATA PTX4 To Suit Auto Openers AOTX4 page, and that is the earlier SecuraCode generation. One character between them and no compatibility at all, so read the number properly.
What it codes to is ATA's TrioCode equipment: the DCB-05 Dual Gate Controller, the EasyRoller GDO-6v3 and GDO-6v4, the SecuraLift GDO-7v2 and GDO-7v3, the Shed Master GDO-8v3, the GDO-9 in its Dynamo, Enduro and Ero forms, the GDO-9v2 and GDO-9v3, the Toro GDO-10v1, the GDO-11v1, the NeoSlider NES-24v1, the RD-40V1 and the Elite SGO-1.
Three exclusions apply. GEN2 motors are out. So are v2 remotes, meaning a grey case with grey buttons. And so is the blue case PTX-4 on 433 MHz, along with any motor still on SecuraCode or 27 MHz that has not had a TriCode receiver card fitted.
Four independently coded buttons, rolling code on 433 MHz, with the battery fitted before dispatch behind a cover that opens with a tool. Coding instructions and a key ring are included.
Auto Openers is not ATA. This handset is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by Automatic Technology Australia.
If you are ordering more than one remote for the same property and one of them is this listing, note which is which when they arrive. A drawer holding both a coin cell handset and a 23A handset that look broadly alike is how people end up buying the wrong replacement battery twice.

Battery safety
This product is supplied with a 23A battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
Delivery, returns and fitting
Shipping costs and delivery times are shown beside the Add to cart button above. Unused parts can be returned by post within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, with return postage paid by you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that, so if the part you receive turns out not to suit your opener, call us before you program it and we will work out what does. Our full terms of sale are set out on the Allgate terms and conditions page.
Most customers fit and code a new part themselves in a few minutes using the instructions supplied. If you would rather have it done, an Allgate technician can program and test it on site anywhere we work, which is every suburb listed on the Sydney service areas page.
Not sure the Compatible Aftermarket ATA PTX5 To Suit Auto Openers AOTX5 is the right part?
Buying the wrong remote is the most common mistake we see, and it is almost always avoidable with one photograph. Send a clear shot of the front and the back of your existing unit, plus one of the motor if you can reach it safely, to service@allgate.com.au and our team will tell you exactly which part suits your opener. If you would rather talk it through, our domestic line is 1300 736 683, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Commercial and strata customers can reach a technician on 1300 655 600 at any hour, on any day.
You can also search the catalogue by the model number printed on your existing handset, which is the fastest way to find the match yourself.
