B&D MPC3/MPC4 Compatible Remote

The B&D MPC3/MPC4 Compatible Remote is a four button aftermarket handset on 315 MHz, and it is a duplicator. It takes its code from a remote you already own rather than being taught to the opener, so a working handset has to be in your hand before this one can be set up.

Before you order

This is a duplicator remote. It copies the code from a remote you already own, so you need a working remote to hand. Before ordering, check that your existing remote has a white box around the button. If you have lost your only remote it cannot be used, so call us on 1300 736 683 and we will sort it out another way.

Standard tracked shipping $12.00 in 2 to 6 business days, express $15.00 in 1 to 3 business days. Not sure this is the right part? Send a photograph of the front and back of your existing unit to service@allgate.com.au and we will confirm it before you buy.

About the B&D MPC3/MPC4 Compatible Remote

Check the button before you order. Your existing remote needs a white box around it. If there is a red outline instead, this is the wrong listing and the B&D MPC2 Compatible Remote on 318 MHz is the one that suits you. The two are easy to mix up and impossible to interchange.

It replaces four handsets: the MPC3, the MPC4, the TX315 and the DOM503.

Copying takes a minute or two with both remotes in your hands and the instruction sheet in front of you. The motor is never touched and nobody has to get up to the opener, which is why duplicating is the cheapest way to put a second handset in a second car.

It is also why this remote is no help at all once every remote in the house has gone missing. There is nothing left to copy from. That situation is recoverable, but not with this part, so ring 1300 736 683 before ordering and we will work out what your motor actually needs.

The coding is fixed. The same code is transmitted every time, and a copied remote carries exactly the security of the one it was copied from, no more and no less. That is inherent to 315 MHz equipment of this era. Moving off it means a new receiver and new handsets together, which is a larger piece of work than buying a remote, and we are happy to price it.

Four buttons means four separate codes, so one handset can cover a garage door, a second door and a gate. The case measures roughly 3.5 cm wide, 5.5 cm long and 1.5 cm deep, comes with a keychain and is built for a pocket rather than a drawer. Inside is a 27A 12V cylindrical cell, fitted before dispatch, behind a cover that opens with a tool. It is not a coin cell. Flat batteries should go to a recycling point, not in the bin.

This is a compatible part rather than a B&D one. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by B&D.

If the remote in your hand reads DOM503 or TX315 rather than MPC3 or MPC4, you are still on the right page. Those are the same handset sold under other names, which matters because searching the number printed on your own remote is how most people get here, and finding nothing under it usually leads to the wrong conclusion rather than to the right part.

Battery safety

This product is supplied with a 27A 12V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.

Delivery, returns and fitting

Shipping costs and delivery times are shown beside the Add to cart button above. Unused parts can be returned by post within 30 days of purchase for a full refund, with return postage paid by you. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply on top of that, so if the part you receive turns out not to suit your opener, call us before you program it and we will work out what does. Our full terms of sale are set out on the Allgate terms and conditions page.

Most customers fit and code a new part themselves in a few minutes using the instructions supplied. If you would rather have it done, an Allgate technician can program and test it on site anywhere we work, which is every suburb listed on the Sydney service areas page.

Not sure the B&D MPC3/MPC4 Compatible Remote is the right part?

Buying the wrong remote is the most common mistake we see, and it is almost always avoidable with one photograph. Send a clear shot of the front and the back of your existing unit, plus one of the motor if you can reach it safely, to service@allgate.com.au and our team will tell you exactly which part suits your opener. If you would rather talk it through, our domestic line is 1300 736 683, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm. Commercial and strata customers can reach a technician on 1300 655 600 at any hour, on any day.

You can also search the catalogue by the model number printed on your existing handset, which is the fastest way to find the match yourself.
