About the BnD Compatible Remote Handset 434MHz (The Key Guys)
The label is the identifier here, and that is unusual enough to be worth explaining. Most remotes we sell are chosen by matching a motor model or a part number stamped by the door manufacturer. This one is chosen by matching a code printed by the company that made the handset, because it was supplied to suit a range of B&D equipment rather than one named opener.
We do not publish a list of compatible motors for it, and that is deliberate. No such list has been published by the supplier, and inventing one to make the page look more complete would be an efficient way to sell somebody the wrong remote. The label check is the test that actually works.
There is a second Key Guys handset for B&D equipment in our range, and it is where most of the confusion comes from. The BnD Tri-Tran ATA TRICODE Compatible Remote 434MHz sits at the same price, has the same four buttons and runs on the same frequency, and it is labelled KGBDTR02. The two are not interchangeable and there is nothing about holding one that tells you which is which.
Four buttons, coded independently, will operate up to four doors or gates. Power is a 27A 12V cell, fitted before the handset is packed, behind a cover that requires a tool. It is a cylindrical battery rather than a flat coin cell, and a common enough size to find in most supermarkets. Used cells belong at a recycling point.
This is an aftermarket handset. It is not manufactured, authorised, endorsed or approved by B&D.
If the words Tri-Tran appear anywhere on your motor or on the installer's sticker beside it, stop and read the Tri-Tran listing instead. That one word is what separates the two Key Guys handsets we stock for B&D doors, and it is printed far more often on the opener than on the remote.

Battery safety
This product is supplied with a 27A 12V battery, which is not a coin battery. Keep new and used batteries out of reach of children, and dispose of used batteries safely. A flat battery can still cause harm.
