The wireless part is what makes it useful. A conventional wall button is wired to the opener, so it lives wherever the cable was run, usually beside the garage door and nowhere else. This one transmits like a remote, so it mounts anywhere within range: inside the house door to the garage, at the top of the internal stairs, beside the front entry, or at a second position in a long garage. Adding a control point costs a screwdriver rather than a day of chasing cable through a wall cavity.

Four buttons means four doors, or a combination of doors and gates. Each is coded separately to its own receiver, so a house with a roller door, a tilt door and a driveway gate can run all three from one plate by the back door.

It suits ATA openers on the TrioCode system. That covers the whole GDO-9 family, meaning the Dynamo and Enduro, the GDO-9v2S2, the GDO-9v2 and the GDO-9v3, plus the EasyRoller from the GDO-6 through to the GDO-6v4, both SecuraLift versions of the GDO-7, the Shed Master GDO-8v3 ASM, the Toro GDO-10v1, the GDO-11v1 and GDO-11v3, the NeoSlider NES-24v1 and NES-24v3, the DCB-05 Dual Gate Controller and the Elite SGO-1. It does not work with the blue case PTX-4 on 433 MHz, nor with motors from the SecuraCode or 27 MHz TX eras, although a TrioCode receiver card will bring those across if you would rather keep the motor you have.

The plate is white with grey buttons and a red indicator light, measuring roughly 7.34 cm wide, 11.59 cm long and 1.56 cm deep, so it sits close to the wall and reads as a light switch rather than a piece of equipment.

Power is a CR2032 3V coin cell, fitted before dispatch, and the compartment needs a tool to open. Because a wall button is pressed far more often than a car remote, the battery is the first thing to check when it becomes unreliable. Coin cells are hazardous if swallowed, so keep new and used cells away from children and dispose of them at a battery recycling point.
