It covers the CRX-1 and CRX-2 receivers, the GDO-2v5, GDO-2v6 and GDO-2v7 SecuraLift, the GDO-4v3 through GDO-4v6 EasyRoller, the GDO-6v1 and GDO-6v2 Slim Drive EasyRoller, the GDO-7v1 SecuraLift, the GDO-8v1 and GDO-8v2 EasyRoller II, and the GDO-9v1 SecuraLift. It does not work with PTX5 remotes.

Two confirmations are asked for before you order, and this is the only listing in the range that asks for both. The remote you already own has to match the one photographed here, and your opener has to appear on the list above. Where six handsets share a single motor list, the photograph is doing as much work as the model number.

A word on what arrives. This handset is made in more than one style, and Allgate ships whichever is in stock, which is very nearly always the one photographed. There is no style to choose at checkout and none of them behaves differently. If the exact appearance matters to you, ring 1300 736 683 before ordering and we will tell you what is on the shelf.

SecuraCode is worth understanding because it is the reason this handset is worth having rather than a cheap radio. It is code hopping: the remote and the receiver both move to a new code on every press, drawn from more than 4.29 billion combinations, and a code already used is never accepted again. Somebody sitting in a car with a scanner can record your signal perfectly and it will still be worthless by the time they try it. Fixed code remotes, which plenty of older equipment still uses, offer no such thing.

Four buttons run four doors or gates, each coded on its own. The case is slim at about 3 cm wide, 7 cm long and 1.2 cm deep. A 27A 12V cylindrical cell comes already installed, and the cover over it needs a tool.

One practical note. Coding a fourth button to a door you do not have is not a waste. Program a spare channel to nothing, note which one it is, and you have somewhere to put a future gate without hunting for the instruction sheet in three years.
